We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic data engineer to join the Insight team to help build out and maintain our cloud-based data warehouse and analytics environments.
Working as part of a small team you will develop cutting-edge data pipelines using technologies such as Talend, utilising a variety of data platforms including MSSQL, AWS Redshift, and Kinesis. You will be immersed in our current projects and help transition our architecture from batch to real-time to deliver business value even faster.

The Insight division sits at the heart of the International business providing data centric products for CRM Marketing and Reporting/Analytics to help shape the company’s strategy and support our clients’ marketing efforts.
It is an exciting time to be working with data, with the emergence and adoption of big data and cloud technologies. We have recently migrated our traditional data integration and RDBMS platforms into AWS and are fully committed to utilising more of its managed services to help us consolidate and rearchitect our environments. You’ll be heavily involved in helping us through this evolution and will gain exposure to many new state of the art tools.
• Proven experience building data pipelines for data warehouses that are reliable, maintainable and well performing.
• A good working knowledge of one or more data tools. (e.g. Talend preferred)
• Solid experience developing on SQL Server and an appreciation of data warehouse methodologies
• Familiarity with web, FTP and API technologies
• Self-start attitude with the confidence to take a high level requirement/solution and work on design/build tasks independently
• Excellent problem solving and adaptable personality to respond to user needs and shifting priorities
• AWS experience preferred though not essential
• Any experience with real-time streaming technologies (e.g. Spark) would be beneficial
