Who we’re looking for:
Olson Engage is looking for an innovative and indispensable Project Manager with a public relations background who has a keen ability to improve overall account operations, particularly in the areas of account financials and billing.
The Project Manager will act as a key liaison between specific agency teams (including finance and accounting, sales and marketing, creative, and account teams) from inception of project through final execution phases.
The Project Manager role requires 3-5 years of project or account management experience, preferably in an agency environment, to help inform developing client scopes of work, adhering to appropriate financial deadlines, contributing to staffing plans, as well as overall financial tracking/billing. The ideal Project Manager is proactive, detail-oriented, solution driven and is able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure. You will need strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
What you’ll get to do:
• Serve as project’s main financial coordinator and be knowledgeable on the general background of the project, may include developing scopes of work, budget trackers, invoices, etc.
• Interact closely with the account teams to determine project needs and assist account leads in managing project profitability and monitoring hours.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal meetings for project kick-offs, creative/design reviews, and team checkpoints.
• Manage internal CRM software to track projects from beginning to end.
• Create and manage timelines for specific projects.
• Coordinate and assist in creation of materials for client presentations.
• Open, maintain and close job codes to include estimates, schedules, change orders, PDFs, etc.
• Collaborate with and advise other junior project managers in developing project plans including budgets, scopes of work, timelines and staffing allocations.
• Contribute in vendor/strategic-partner negotiations (financial & project execution) and manage vendor relationships over the course of projects, defining roles & responsibilities and enforcing timelines.
• Partner with Finance and Accounts Payable.
• Assist with budget and staffing plans for new business.
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Agency experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, inter-personal, written and verbal skills required.
• Must be calm under pressure and be able to mediate and problem-solve.
• Bachelor’s degree and agency experience preferred.
