Job Description
About the position
Working on our Snowdrop™ team, your primary focus will be developing our in-house Snowdrop engine, and support multiple teams using it. As a Snowdrop programmer you will be part of a friendly team developing and maintaining a variety of systems and tools. You will be expected to work in close collaboration with other programmers, designers, artists and testers to craft high quality, scalable solutions that bring Snowdrop™ and its various titles to an even higher standard.
This is a full time position and will require relocation to Malmö, Sweden.
Responsibilities
• You will be mostly working in C++ on our integrated editor/game development tools.
• Design, implement, and iterate on new and existing systems and tools
• Develop Snowdrop as a shared and complex ecosystem for videogames creation
• Contribute to long term strategy for Snowdrop development
• Support multiple teams around the world with knowledge and practical help.
• Work towards improving documentation and samples
Qualifications

You are interested in developing sophisticated systems and the best solutions, and you are capable of taking responsibility for the definition and improvement of workflows. You are understanding, respectful and you have excellent communication skills and are approachable.
You are comfortable receiving feedback and helping developers solve difficult problems, and you are capable of using your knowledge and experience to recommend changes and improvements to the engine.
You are self-motivated, value quality in everything you do and have a good attention to detail.
You are creative and enjoy overcoming technical limitations and solving difficult problems.
Relevant experience
• Excellent C++ programming experience
• Familiarity or willingness to learn other languages typically used for tools (C#, python, etc)
• Excellent debugging skills and problem solving
• Tools, workflow and engine development
• Automated testing
• Ability to accurately predict task duration and understand dependencies
• 5+ years of professional programming experience in the video game industry
• Multithreaded development
• Development of a AAA title from concept to release
• PS4 and XBOX One
