Description
21st Century Fox, one of the world's largest media and entertainment companies, is seeking a qualified staff auditor to join its Corporate Audit Department based in New York to perform internal audits of various operations.
The Corporate Audit Department examines and assesses business activities as a service to 21st Century Fox Corporation’s management, Board of Directors and Audit Committee. It provides an independent assessment of risk and the effectiveness of internal operating and financial controls.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and conduct internal financial and operational control and compliance based audits;
• Perform project assignments and assist in the coordination and management of certain compliance programs (including Sarbanes-Oxley S404) and special projects;
• Complete assigned audit tasks from design through to execution and reporting of results and findings;
• Coordinate and manage audit work programs and assigned tasks and report status to the management team;
• Communicate audit findings to management and obtain agreement and buy-in to proposed action plans;
• Develop formal written reports to communicate audit results to management;
• Build management and key stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have 2-3 years of experience in either public accounting or industry with strong analytical and organizational/project management skills (including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, establish and meet deadlines) required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must with the ability to interact with senior management and colleagues at all levels.
Individuals should be licensed CPAs or actively pursuing their CPA certificate. A bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting along with audit, accounting and SOX 404 technical experience is required. Public accounting experience and exposure to data analytics and system programs (e.g. ACL, etc.) is highly valued. Travel, including international, can be expected approximately 30%-40% of the time.
