We’re looking for a Security Analyst to join Team Snapchat! Working closely with the Protective Services team, you will identify and communicate early warnings and other information to Snapchat security and internal stakeholders through open source intelligence, media, and social media sites to guide mitigation measures. Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Global Security, Public Relations, Government Relations, Finance and other stakeholders to establish relevant guidelines based on risk assessments.
What you’ll do:
• Create and maintain information on trending threats and hostile communication, and monitor/update security logs accordingly
• Prepare regular briefings highlighting relevant world events and their potential impact on Snapchat and its stakeholders
• Develop and update travel security guidance, risk assessments, situational reports, and other intelligence resources so Snapchatters can make appropriate decisions
• Support the Snapchat Security staff with research and special projects on an as-needed basis
• Complete numerous threat assessments designed to support business decision-making processes for Snapchat’s leadership
What we’re looking for:
• Strong educational background in a related discipline from an accredited university or college
• 5+ years experience in security intelligence analysis, competitive intelligence, or a related security field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to quickly understand and summarize large amounts of information
• A highly motivated, positive self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision in a small team environment
• Demonstrated knowledge in both national and international current events, including an understanding of their potential impact on security and Snapchat’s business
• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization and to operate in a professional, confidential work environment
• Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
