Vevo is looking for a Senior Product Design to join it’s design team and help to drive its efforts to invent exceptional products people love to use.
Responsibilities
◦ At Vevo, you’ll work with cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and executives to invent and develop beautiful products that people love to use and do use regularly. You’ll start with deep empathy for our users and an understanding of how they use key devices (web, mobile & TV) to develop proposed user experiences that are timeless, simple-to-use, and visually elegant. You’ll know how to get from A-to-Z by leveraging user research and other data insights and your expertise and craftsmanship to build wireframes and schematics, create prototypes, and then deliver finished and polished designs to key engineering teams. Once features and products are shipped, you’ll work with your peers to monitor usage, look for evidence of friction and also opportunity, and iterate with that data and knowledge to make our products better still. You’ll sweat the details throughout, and constantly push us to make the best products and experiences possible for our users. Qualifications
◦ Love of music, music videos, visual storytelling, and the people who make creative works
◦ Love of digital media, and deep interest in the evolution of digital media platforms and products
◦ At least 5-7 years of experience designing for multiple platforms including web, iOS, and Android
◦ Demonstrated track record of shipping products
◦ Broad experience with UX, visual design, branding, information architecture and usability research
◦ Experience with and belief in building prototypes
◦ Deep, and extensive, visual design skills.Conversant with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines, Google’s Material Design framework
◦ Ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications
◦ Strong belief in use of metrics to measure success of design efforts, and as a tool to guide iteration and refinement of that work
◦ Proven success partnering with engineering and product management teams
◦ Some knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, javascript, React, or Swift
◦ Positive attitude and a love of collaboration
◦ A sense of humor and a sense of style
Bonus Points
◦ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Art, Graphic Design, or some similar visual communications field
◦ Experience with Framer, Invision, Pixate, Sketch, Quartz Composer, Principle or other comparable prototyping tools
◦ Experience with user-centered design methods.Experience designing for 10-foot devices including Apple TV, Roku and Smart TVs, streaming devices including Chromecast and Airplay and game consoles
◦ Experience with video or film or both
