We are looking for a Data/Backend Chapter Lead to join the Creator tribe in Stockholm.
The tribe is focused on fostering the leading ecosystem of artists and fans to unlock creativity that inspires the world. As a Chapter Lead your primary role is ensuring that members of your team grow as engineers and collaborate on building awesome products for our Creator mission.
The current team in Stockholm is focused on a platform that powers proper calculation of master and publishing royalties, reporting, and increased creator-level understanding. As we look to empower creators more this mission will expand into open and honest payouts, building forecasting platforms for artist and enabling creator control of content.
What you’ll do
• Develop people through coaching, mentoring, and management support
• Participate in web engineering technology architecture discussions for product development
• Advocate for development methodologies (CI, testing, etc.)
• Grow the technical expertise of your team
• Advocate and promote leadership at all levels within the Spotify engineering community
• Work closely with squads, product owners, agile coaches and partners to ensure we deliver innovative products to artists, songwriters, publishers, and labels.
• Work closely with the recruitment team to hire and onboard web engineers
• Work from our office in Stockholm and willing to travel to other Spotify offices
Who you are
• You are experienced with leading, coaching, and mentoring teams
• You thrive when developing great people, not just great products
• You have experience in fostering a strong engineering culture in an agile and devops environment
• You are an experienced leader in using modern practices and tools to ingest, move, process, store, and expose datasets
• You have experience in various backend or data technologies. The team you will work with works with Java, Python, Hadoop, Postgres, and Cassandra.
• You preferably have large-scale development experience in a devops environment
