Requirements
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree most have title and Professional identity card ( cédula profesional)
• Fully Bilingual ( English - Spanish)
• Mexican nationality or working visa for México.
• An entrepreneurial mind-set and the ability to identify sound product opportunities
• Creative vision and the ability to identify and activate strategies for competitive advantage
• Willingness to acquire, develop and implement business market knowledge
• Experience in customer-facing communication and interaction
• Open to quick-changing markets and customer needs, and the ability to be agile with changing direction and focus
• Successful planning and managing project budgets to maximize profitability
• Articulate, persistent and constructive negotiation skills
• Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
• Impeccable time management and organizational skills
• A positive, proactive and team-oriented outlook
• High degree of computer and financial literacy
• Passion for technology enabled learning
• 5 years experience in learning science, publishing or education, in product management and development
Purpose
Portfolio Managers drive the strategy of their product list by deeply understanding our customers, learning science capabilities, platforms, market and competitor intelligence. The Portfolio Manager collaborates closely with all product streams across the lifecycle and embraces a culture of ideation and innovation for business transformation. You will optimise your product list in alignment to business and strategic priorities. You are accountable forperformance metrics on product success, including customer satisfaction, learning outcomes, digital usage, financial revenue, market share growth and EBIDTA. You will be a strong collaboratoracross all functions in the business, and within the local, regional and global product network. You will champion MVP and agile methodologies to release early and release often, and embrace customer-centric design and development.
• Identifying, developing and presenting effective business cases aligned to strategic and organizational goals to support customer-centric product innovations or enhancements, and new products and services within the portfolio.
• Accountable for financial revenue of the programs and portfolio and collaborate with sales and marketing to meet or exceed.
• Identifying, researching and negotiating new business opportunities
• Retaining and recruiting authors for maximum performance, status and influence, with effective succession planning as required
• Developing, implementing and championing content development strategy for the short, middle and long term
• Effective collaboration with regional and global product teams.
• Implement agile methodology to drive versioning and iterations within the MVP framework, whilst balancing the need for waterfall as appropriate.
• Identify new markets for existing content and implement content and platform solutions
• Produce agreed upon product roadmaps for portfolio that outline the short, mid and long term product vision and priorities, refine regularly with backlog grooming, and maintain visibility through the team and wider business
• Promote and maintain scheduling and budgeting within ERP for reliable and real time business data and transparency
• Develop and execute on portfolio and product management and strategy to optimize growth; and drive for improved product performance metrics through close collaboration.
