Springer Nature, the publisher of Nature, is looking to recruit an Assistant or Associate Editor to join the team of Nature Medicine, the leading translational research journal.
Members of the editorial team evaluate manuscripts, oversee the peer review process, and engage extensively with the scientific community by attending conferences and visiting laboratories. Willingness to travel is essential. Editors also occasionally write editorials or short pieces for the journal, organize internal and external conferences, and contribute ideas for the commissioning of Reviews and Perspectives.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and will be eager and able to learn and engage new fields. We are seeking applicants with a PhD and postdoctoral experience related to computational biology, genomics or systems-level analysis, with an emphasis on neuroscience or cancer biology. The position will be based in our New York, San Francisco, Boston or London office.
