Responsible for coordinating, creating, and editing varying categories of online video content for Meredith Entertainment, with a focus on Parents and Better Homes & Gardens. Coordinates directly with Executive Producer and produces video content that relates to topics relevant to the brands. Assists Executive Producer to assure that scheduling, budgeting and other aspects of each production are on schedule, on budget and delivered to the requisite level of quality. This position will be responsible for crafting the most compelling video content possible and overseeing it from concept to delivery. Must have broad-based production background with a focus on editing skills with motion graphics capabilities. Passion for innovative digital video production and social media a must.
Essential Job Functions

Produce and edit distributed video content for multiple platforms including websites, YouTube Channels, Facebook, Vines, Snapchat, etc. Create content based on programming needs as defined by management; specific functions include researching elements, writing, editing, and preparing video segments; coordinating stories; selecting graphics, pre-production elements, and music; and executing final videos.

Collaborate with Executive Producer as well as other members of the POD, talent, and third party production sources (including: lighting companies, video equipment companies, locations for studio rental, field shoots etc.) Participate regularly in content planning/development meetings.

Conceptualize and gather all graphic and pre-production elements. Ensure careful clearance of stills, videos, and music used. Constantly evolve quality of content and adapt based on analytics, group discussion, and management input.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Film/TV, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of producing and editing video for a digital publisher, brand, television or cable network. 3 – 5 years preferred. Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop experience highly desirable.

An excellent and always expanding knowledge of online video—both creation and distribution on multiple platforms.
Immersed in pop culture and aware of trends; finger on the pulse of social media at all times.
Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop
An interest in lifestyle programming a plus.
Script writing and ability to craft a good story important.
Good communication skills, in writing and in person.
Flexible regarding work schedule and willing to travel.
Must have a valid driver's license.
