Role Scenario
Our business is continuously evolving in ways it hasn’t done before, and our HR Assistant will play a big part in shaping that evolution from a people perspective.
Sitting at the heart of our lean but effective HR team, our HR Assistant will have a primary focus on ensuring the smooth running of all systems and processes within the HR team.
Solution orientated and detail focused in everything you do, you will act as the first line support to many of the people within our global business. This role will afford you exposure to a wide range of HR projects and initiatives that extend way beyond a normal HR Assistant role, so the opportunity for development here is huge.
Where Does The Role Sit?
Reporting into our Chief People Officer but collaborating with people far and wide across the global business.
What Will You Do?
• You will own, develop and maintain all administrative processes for the HR team.
• You will manage the administration of the HRIS and a variety of benefits.
• You will review and input changes on the payroll globally, ensuring this is accurate prior to submitting it to the payroll team.
• You will own and manage employee data, change of details, annual leave and recording sickness, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at all times. Data has to be at the heart of how our HR team runs.
• You will manage our new starters and leaver’s processes, creating a great experience at all ends of the spectrum.
• You will need to quickly learn the structure of the business, departments and locations and start to develop relationships internally, whilst learning to cope with the pace with which we operate.
• You will be focused on continuous improvement at all times and will own and develop all processes and procedures on a global level. Map out what’s working, what isn’t and look for where you can be most effective
• You will act as a PA in to the Chief People Officer.
• You will support the HR team with projects and start to develop own ad-hoc project work.
• You will become the ‘go to’ person for all process related HR queries internally – everyone in the company should know you.
• You will help coordinate and sometimes lead the charge on HR events and other engagement based initiatives.
• You will own the internship process globally, acting as HR person for all interns that we hire at Shazam. You will be involved in attraction also.
Experience: Required
• You’ll have 1-2 years experience in a professional HR support role
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects accordingly working with multiple individuals/departments and in a timely manner. Grace under fire.
• Keen attention to detail in the execution of all projects and forms of communication.
• You enjoy being a part of a team and are excited to contribute to its success.
• Creative problem solver, analytical and entrepreneurial-minded/self-starter.
• Flexibility within an ever-changing/evolving, fast-paced, yet thrilling world of digital and emerging media.
• Practical advanced experience using Excel and ideally some exposure to working with HRIS.
