Job Summary:
The Senior Business Information Systems Analyst provides production support to the business and collaborates with business partners / technology / project teams and stakeholders on technology solutions
What I want them to do:
• Provides production support to the business in the following areas
◦ Account Payable
◦ Account Receivables
◦ Billing
◦ Fixed Assets
◦ General Ledger
◦ Month end close
◦ Access to applications
◦ Monitoring and troubleshooting
• Performs data analysis and create reports for the business
• Assists with system maintence and upgrades
• Learn and understand the business to help identify business process and technology improvements
• Collaborate with the business and other IT teams to solve business or technological challenges
• Utilizes best practice methodology to design, configure and implement solutions based on business requirements
• Develops and maintains appropriate documentation to provide on-going support
• Emphasize and support the need for continuous improvement (e.g. Root Cause Analysis)
• Cross training to insure leave coverage
Skills and experience they need to have:
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field
• Strong Accounting/Finance background
• CPA Preferred
• 5+ years of experience required
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Project, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint required
• Proficient with SQL and data analysis
• Sound understanding of business support
• Sound to Advanced knowledge of system analysis process and techniques
• Sound to Advanced knowledge of systems and applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules
• Sound knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices and standards and related expertise including design, development, testing and project management
• Strong sense of curiosity relative to leveraging technology to drive business solutions, and a desire to learn
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to analyze data and rationalize to decisions that add value to the business
• Ability to build trusting relationships by using appropriate interpersonal styles to establish effective relationships with customers and team members
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
