Copilot Platform, Content Intelligence Engineer
The Content Intelligence team is seeking a strong engineer with a focus on Natural Language Processing and/or Machine Learning to help grow and develop Condé Nast’s next generation content platform, Copilot.
At Condé Nast we process millions of semi structured contents such as articles, recipes, videos, galleries, comments, slideshows, photos. We are building an internal Content Intelligence platform to analyze them in order to empower several other products.
What is the Copilot Platform?
Copilot platform is the fundamental platform that powers online experiences for brands such as GQ, Epicurious, and Vanity Fair. At its core, it is a high performance RESTful API to help brands build immersive experiences.

What are we looking for?
• Intermediate to expert level in one or more of the following domains: Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following tasks: Named Entity Recognition, Keyword Extraction, Classification, Topic segmentation, Sentiment analysis, Content based recommendation
• Intermediate to expert level fluency in at least one object oriented programming language (Java preferred)
• Individuals comfortable working as both a software engineer and an applied researcher
• Production level experience with at least one of the following:
• NLP tools like Stanford CoreNLP or Apache OpenNLP
• Text Analysis Architecture frameworks like Sheffield GATE or Apache UIMA
• Machine learning tools like Waikato Weka or Apache Mahout
• Search engines like Apache Lucene/ Solr
What would you be responsible for?
• Designing and developing algorithms, models, and pipelines that empower text analysis, information extraction and information retrieval based on Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning techniques.
• Designing, implementing and documenting text analysis driven APIs for use by other engineers
• Collaborating with your team on new ideas or improving existing ones
• Helping us grow our engineering team
• Teaching and mentoring other engineers, especially around content intelligence related
• technologies
• Collaborating with your team on new ideas or improving existing ones
• Being included in the on-call rotation for production support
• Helping us grow our engineering team
