The Yahoo for Publishers team is a dynamic, fast moving division working tirelessly to service the ever-growing video and native publisher base for Yahoo. We are responsible for driving revenue for publisher direct, desktop and mobile advertising supply whilst priding ourselves on being front line responders for integrating and technical troupe-shooting for each of our supply partners. We are data driven, metrics based and fully committed to relationship building.
A Lot About You
You are data driven (an excel rockstar!) and deeply curious about technology - specifically as it relates to programmatic selling and buying. You are cross collaborative and comfortable with a fast moving environment.
Your Day
• Work closely with the account management team to drive publisher account optimizations and hygiene initiatives including MOAT viewability analysis, run-time parameter troubleshooting, etc
• Collaborate with the demand team and produce ad hoc analyses around supply trends to drive decision making for publisher optimization and overall increase in high demand supply
• Act as a liaison between the Relationship Management, Publisher Sales, Demand and Product teams to drive key cross-functional revenue initiatives
• Own execution and management of inventory packaging for our Deal ID offering, field internal requests, troubleshoot performance and delivery for deals, source and analyze new opportunities for inventory
• Support internal operational groups with data analysis and insights, while educating publisher partners on key performance benchmarks
• Capture and relay market feedback to team regarding feature and product requests backed by data-driven business cases describing revenue opportunity presented by building out specific features
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of publishers’ business models, priorities and product roadmap, as well as technical features in order to identify and pitch strategies for optimizing performance with our ad products
• Technical competency (ability to work confidently with technical product teams) i.e., VAST/VPAID Integrations, Run Time data, etc.
You Must Have
• 2-3 years of experience in a data driven or analyst role
• Experience working in large data sets; Excel Rockstar; Competency in SQL preferred
• Strong understanding of the SSP and or programmatic ad space (DSP side also fine)
• Technical skills/knowledge of the publisher/SSP ecosystem
• Flexible, driven and able to troubleshoot self sufficiently
• BA or BSci minimum
