Job Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects at a given time or a singular, large scale or highly complex project, and ensuring that these projects meet or exceed internal team and client expectations and are delivered on-time and on-budget.
The Senior Project Manager will interface with the internal teams as well as with clients to meet project deliverables, ensuring that the business objectives and requirements are understood by the team and will participate and drive the solution execution. He/She is also responsible for the financial management of the portfolio of projects to which he/she is assigned. The Senior Project Manager will consistently look for workflow improvements that result in effective and efficient processes and has a direct contribution to the success of the business.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
• Develops and demonstrates an understanding of the client’s business, their needs, expectations, and requirements
• Collaborates with the project team to define project scopes, timelines and budgets
• Sets clear expectations for tasks and deliverables across teams accountable for work, providing proper materials/documentation when necessary
• Coordinates all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by: scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc,), communicating action steps to team, and delivering status reports to project team and clients
• Provide ongoing monitoring of progress: project life cycle analysis, project resource management, detailed timing/schedules, budget input and risk analysis
• Works closely with Account Team to help manage project financial life cycle, including estimates, project revenue sheets, change orders, invoicing, etc.
• Acts as a client point-of-contact for all day-to-day project related issues
• Proactively identify areas for improvement within process; suggest/implement solutions
Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience
• 4+ years of experience managing interactive projects, preferably in a consulting or agency environment
• Bachelor's degree required
• Knowledge of two or more of the following: software development life cycles, web technologies, web development processes, media and advertising projects, digital strategy projects, CRM
• Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications and lead team meetings
• Experience in managing and building content management systems strongly preferred.
• Ability to work cross disciplinary across all of the functional departments
• Ability to solve complex problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Expert Microsoft Project and MS Office skills
• Must be able to simultaneously focus on big picture, details and driving results
