On behalf of Tribune 365, the national sales arm for Tribune Publishing that represents Tribune's 8 leading market newspapers and digital platforms, including the Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune, manage a defined list of national preprint centric retail accounts and their agencies. Work strategically with accounts and their agencies to grow preprint revenue via portfolio expansion, improved targetability, and data/analysis to enhance ROI. Provide these advertisers with creative solutions leveraging the assets of the Tribune portfolio, including digital, mobile, Hispanic and content to both complement and enhance their existing preprint program.
Responsibilities:
• Strategically manage the preprint revenue for their clients/agencies by leveraging data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity for growth and ROI enhancement
• Develop in-depth understanding of their client, their marketing strategies, their organization (decision makers/influencers), and their agencies
• Strengthen direct client relationships at multiple levels in the organization
• Develop strong relationships and provide excellent ongoing communication with agencies to ensure they are clearly informed in a timely manner of all opportunities at Tribune
• Partner closely with agencies to develop efficient preprint targeting strategies and executions for our shared clients
• Develop new business opportunities with existing accounts and introducing cross-media advertising strategies when the opportunity arises.
• Build and maintain relationships with external clients and internal departments to meet and exceed revenue and business goals..
• Align clients' sales strategies with strategic marketing positions.
• Partner with clients to meet their sales and marketing objectives.
• Team selling in conjunction with T365 colleagues, MediaWorks, Tribune newspaper/website partners and other national offices is required.
Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of media sales experience with national retail advertisers. Experience in preprint and digital sales a plus.
• Strong relationships with retail buying agencies
• Prior account management experience is required.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and analytic skills; negotiating strategy; relationship-development are required.
• Prior experience in the applicable market is a plus.
• Multi-market selling experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required to commute to client sites.
