Horizon Media, Inc., headquartered in New York City, is the largest independent media services company in the world. We are currently looking to hire a Creative Director for our digital creative division. The Creative Director will help solidify the direction of our creative offering, while managing a growing team, and act as a key creative partner to all internal and external clients. As a key member of a small and growing team, the ideal candidate will be able to manage workload effectively while also jumping directly into projects and executing work when needed. You’re unafraid of challenges, and willing to get your hands dirty.
The things you’ll do:
• Oversee the digital creative output across the organization
• Lead creative projects and team members with a hands-on supervisory approach while facilitating a collaborative team environment.
• Sell creative internally or directly to client partners, in collaboration with account leads.
• Ensure budgets, deadlines, etc. are complete, accurate and followed.
• Provide clear/objective critiques of creative work during development.
• Collaborate with brand and digital activation team to work effectively and in the best interest of our client partners maximizing the agency’s strategic resources to enhance client services.
The things you’ll need:
• 8-10 years experience, with a heavy digital focus, where you owned digital projects such as client web sites, online advertising and fully integrated social media campaigns.
• Strong strategic sense, ability to ideate and a proven track record for developing impactful strategically focused digital creative programs.
• Ability to conceptualize and turn a seed of an idea into a fully integrated, successful program concept.
• Excellent writing skills a must; need to be able to crisply articulate concepts.
• Strong command of the digital and social media space with great concepts, practices, procedures and technologies.
• Ability to juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to lead a team and provide mentoring to junior team members
• A strong portfolio
The things you’ll know:
• Advanced Adobe suite knowledge – particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash.
• Firm understanding of HTML and web browser capabilities.
• Working knowledge of interaction and user design.
• Proficiency in coding languages (HTML5, Actionscript, Javascript, etc) a big plus.
