JOB SUMMARY
TheManager of Database Marketingleads campaign development and execution in a production environment for marketing campaigns and research studies. Play a key role in achieving flawless execution across direct marketing channels and translating complex business requirements into technical requirements. Identify business opportunities through data analysis and collaboration with the marketing and sales teams. This position requires excellence in working with data and managing competing priorities. Reports to the Director, Database Marketing and regularly interacts with cross-functional teams and leaders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
• Gather, refine, validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, and explain potential risks.
• Understand marketing campaign logic and selection criteria using IBM Campaign (Unica).
• Design complex marketing campaigns, work with channel marketers, and respond to list selection requests for direct marketing campaigns, research efforts, business issue analysis, etc.
• Audit campaign logic and implement SQL queries and/or reports in order to prove accuracy.
• Query the Oracle marketing database using tools like SQL Developer and/or Toad.
• Utilize available Oracle database marketing tools, techniques, and software solutions to support the creation of an enterprise-wide approach toward data-driven decision making.
• Translate high level business process design and documentation as needed.
• Manage the development of standard and ad hoc reports related to the database and data append processes.
• Ensure the integrity of data in the direct-to-consumer marketing data warehouse.
• Have the ability to supervise and direct the work of one or more direct reports.
• Act as a liaison to the technology team with campaign related needs and research.
• Assist with managing vendor relationships and interactions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to execute campaign management projects working in a large environment with multiple campaign channels
Ability to read and write SQL
Ability to translate campaign requirements into on time and accurate deliverables
Ability to conduct campaign performance analysis and communicate results to cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with sufficient autonomy
Ability to work well with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines, and varying degrees of technical and business experience
Ability to show judgment and initiative to accomplish job duties
Ability to work independently and make recommendations and decisions autonomously
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to make decisions and resolve problems while working under pressure

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline
MBA / Masters preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Expertise with campaign management or automated marketing tools (i.e. Unica, IBM Campaign, Adobe Campaign, etc., Unica experience preferred)
Ability to conduct meetings with various levels of management on issues or findings in assigned areas or subjects
Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred
