DESCRIPTION
Audible is seeking a Director of Product, Amazon to lead product strategy and to develop best-in-class Audible experiences for tens of millions of global Prime members (including Prime Day/ Holiday promotions) across Amazon desktop, mobile web and iOS/ Android Apps. This role will partner across Audible teams to influence customer experiences across Audible Apps/Web, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, Kindle E-Readers and Alexa devices; as well as partner with Amazon teams and other Prime constituents like Video, Music, First Reads, etc. for blue-sky opportunities. This role will dramatically affect our business in scales of magnitude and ensure Prime customers around the world have a best-in-class Audible experience.
This role will serve as a strong collaborative leader who will influence a cross functional team of stakholders (at Audible and Amazon) and will be responsible for crafting and delivering delightful customer experiences that showcase the very best of Audible tailoried for Prime members. You will be responsible raising the bar on the art of developing beautiful and category-defining solutions, as well as the science of applying a data-driven experimentation-oriented mindset that sits at the foundation of all decisions. You will relentlessly focus on customer needs, partnering with the business, working with user experience designers and technical innovators to craft product features and experiences that become the growth engine for Audible. You will be a leader on the ultimate vision and strategy of your product area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and continuously update the vision, strategy and roadmap partnering with Prime and other Audible/ Amazon teams, while placing product innovation at the very heart of our Prime member consumer offering.
• Lead with a compelling vision that influences and drives commitment at all levels of the organization.
• Drive product development from conceptualization through launch creating actionable plans, work streams and deliver tactics for new product features.
• Write market, functional and system requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to business and development teams. Create plans that have clear, measurable success criteria.
• Manage the execution of initiatives from idea through launch, working with scrum teams, while setting and managing the right expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
• Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks).
• Partner with business to unearth opportunities that will have significant measurable impact; with UX to define good outcomes for qualitative testing, ensuring we are building the right experience for a diverse range of intents.
• Regularly review metrics and proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility, ensuring your program stays aligned with organization objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical area, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of experience in product management
• Experience with Agile methodologies, specifically working as the product owner or scrum master on a cross-functional team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Hands on: Experience leading scrum teams to deliver incremental customer and business value sprint by sprint building towards the overall product vision
• Strong EQ and listening skills, with the ability to drive peak performance within the team, collaborate effectively with peers and influence at the executive level
• Data-informed: Define metrics for success and failure; ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions and make decisions
• Team player: Strong, demonstrated ability to rally and bring varying functional teams together, and break through stalled decision making
• High “signal to noise” capability i.e. able to identify what is most important amidst a large set of priorities and data points
• Sound business & strategy judgment and strong analytical thinking skills are critical
• Deep expertise with certain product management best practices including techniques for identifying customer needs, hypothesis-driven road-maps, AB testing and data analysis
• Exceptional writing skills Audible has a strong writing culture: PowerPoint use is rare
