Senior Director Planning & Operations - Unified Collaboration Technology Group
Who You’ll Work With
Supporting the General Manager & VP of Cisco’s Unified Collaboration Technology Group, we are currently seeking a Senior Director Planning & Operations to join the leadership team. You will drive business and initiative planning activities, enable measurement, monitoring, and assessment of ongoing performance and recommend adjustments to resourcing, structure and processes as appropriate. Based on the analyses of business performance, discovery of customer needs, competitive actions and market dynamics, you will develop and advocate both changes to the business’ investment portfolio. You will drive value-creating insights, make recommendations and communicate results to attain consensus across the leadership team and stakeholders in support of the effort to achieve business objectives and financial commitments.
What You’ll Do
Manage:
• In the context of the market and competition and aligned to CTG objectives, develop and review UCTG’s annual plan
◦ Partner with finance on forecasts, spend, portfolio investments and resourcing aligned to the annual plan
◦ Establish one year priorities that are stack ranked with clear decision criteria and ownership as well as a process to ensure an ongoing refresh of initiatives
• Schedule and run monthly and quarterly operations reviews for UCTG and develop output for CTG QBR
• Run portfolio management analysis and recommend choices and trade-offs to GMs to align with resource availability and business targets
• Act as liaison between Cisco Supply Chain Management [SCM] and UCTG PM to ensure procurement timeliness, sufficiency and cost optimization
◦ For Hardware portfolio, enable cost competitiveness based on market/competitive data
◦ For Software portfolio, enable decision making on data center strategy/public cloud transition etc.
• Work with CTG pricing team to facilitate product/service offer model evolution and transaction process enablement
• Identify and manage assessments of customers and employees feedback through NPS
• Ensure policy and contract compliance and support facilities management
• Manage the communications team for internal and external communications and serve as conduit with marketing for events and product launches
• Optimize the customer escalations, technical marketing and Golden Bridge integration teams
Govern:
• Institute governance on UCTG new product introduction to ensure consistency in application of NPI methods
◦ Test/validate readiness assessment for UCTG for all new product introductions
• Facilitate talent and resourcing discussions with the leadership team
• Coordinate process to ensure speaker availability to support customer education and sales efforts at the EBC
Measure:
• Develop ongoing reporting on key metrics, status on priorities and key financial information for effective decision making
• Establish quality metrics, report on CAP status and quality messaging
Who You Are
• Top tier MBA with a total of 15 years of experience. At least 10 of those years of experience in the information technology industry
• Excellence in all areas of business management, including project management, business analysis, recommendation, and consensus building
• Demonstrated ability to conduct fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, structure, and solve complex business problems
• Experience in implementing new product introduction processes and customer and employee input/feedback methodologies
• Clear success in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
