Through our Corporate Innovation services, WeWork Labs help enterprises develop and actualize their strategies through operational coaching, concept ideation, and pilot testing—bridging the gap between corporations and startups as they explore new technology-focused partnership opportunities.
This role will be critical for WeWork Labs’ newly launched corporate innovation services, making valuable contributions and helping scale the practice as a founding member of our research team.
The Ideal Candidate:
You have your finger on the pulse on the technology startup ecosystem, and can identify-cutting edge startups within a given technology space (IoT, AI, etc) or industry (retail, fintech, future of work, etc). You’ve conducted research for, and have composed in-depth technology reports and market trend analyses. You’re familiar with leading startup scouting platforms, and can quickly identify stand out companies. Above all else, you’re passionate about technology, corporate innovation, and brokering corporate-startup relationships with an end goal of partnerships and co-commercialization.
Responsibilities

• Participate in interviews and discovery sessions to help map client needs to innovative technologies and startup solutions
• Identify, interview, and recruit startups (late seed - A) for corporate innovation programs, based on specific industry and technology focus areas
• Build targets startup lists, intelligence briefings, and reports on market trends, and present findings to clients and prospects
• Deliver research presentations and findings to corporate clients, and field any related technical questions or concerns
• As time permits, contribute content to WeWork Labs member platform
Qualifications & Experience
For this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years experience conducting data-driven research for leading technology scouting copmany, management consulting firm or similar organization.
• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in two or more industries/technology areas
• Data-driven with the ability to quickly synthesize and present findings, while being comfortable speaking and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
• Solid project management skills to balance and prioritize multiple client demands, while still keeping an eye on detail
• Skills with MS Excel and Powerpoint
