KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and assess broad strategic opportunities and threats to Audible’s business interests through ongoing research of industry trends and pressures.
• Plan and execute against opportunities and threats through product expansion, partnerships and alliances, and acquisitions and divestitures in the spoken word audio and broader digital sector.
• Build relationships and partner with third parties and internal teams across Audible and Amazon, leading, inspiring, and driving others to think creatively and proactively to further Audible’s business and community goals.
• Identify, build, and draw upon a fluid pool of experts, both internally and externally, to structure transactions.
• Assume projects and assignments as a “special forces operator” where Audible does not have the requisite skill set on staff.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of management consulting, private equity, media technology leadership, or tech startup management experience (or a combination thereof).
• Analytics background and proven track record of corporate transactions and partnerships experience.
• Excellent business judgment, exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), and a track record of proven success in multiple disciplines.
• Strong, clear communication skills – both written and oral; can succinctly and clearly communicate, and are ability to produce documents and presentations that are ready for management review.
• Self-starter attitude and ability to rapidly build rapport and trust with across business functions.
• Deep understanding of and interest in consumer technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Business or related fields.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Analyst background.
• Technology company experience.
• Sophisticated transaction experience (M&A, JVs, large partnerships, etc.).
• MBA.
