MongoDB is seeking Director, Enterprise Technology to to lead multiple technical teams that deliver white glove experiences for IT services and business systems. These systems include Salesforce, FinancialForce, Netsuite, SuccessFactors, Tableau, JIRA, Boomi, G Suite, and other satellite systems.
Reporting to the VP, Technical Operations, this role is the strategic liaison between MongoDB’s business units and IT resources -- responsible for building and managing relationships; demonstrating IT’s focus on engagement to help drive our business operations and strategic plan quicker and more effectively through technology. This individual is responsible for understanding business direction and needs, to drive formulation of solutions and roadmaps; providing insights to technical solution capabilities, leveraging internal solutions and investigating external solutions. They are responsible for working with IT leadership in defining the approach to delivering the needs of the business (stakeholder management and demand management).
The right candidate for this role will have:
• A minimum of 15 years technology experience with significant people management responsibilities
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (CIS, Business Systems or related field)
• First-hand knowledge of enterprise ERP, CRM, HR business systems architecture, implementation methodologies
• Have defined, documented, implemented and established enterprise systems and desktop service policies and procedures for a software as a service provider
• Strong management, organizational and evaluative process skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills to build a cohesive team of members capable of succession to more senior roles
• A track record of success in implementation of large cross organization technology projects and data migration projects
• Experience with managing a team with both operational and project responsibilities
• Experience in modern enterprise systems and data technologies, including use of both cloud and on-premise systems (hybrid)
• Experienced in establishing and delivering comprehensive business systems requirements
• Deep experience with IT infrastructure, IT application technologies and frameworks
• Demonstrated understanding of Enterprise Systems Information Security best practices
• The ability to communicate effectively (oral, written, presentation) across all levels
Position Expectations:
• Provide global leadership of all Business Systems and IT teams
• Establish related operational policies and procedures. Identify, develop, and diagnose process improvement opportunities, and communicate policy among MongoDB internal customers and other TechOps teams (Security, DevOps, Tools, Data Warehouse)
• Lead the creation, implementation and delivery of an IT Services Catalog
• Ensure the successful delivery of ERP, CRM and HR business systems functionality and associated technical support services to the entire organization
• Manage the teams responsible for Level 1/2 support for internal business systems and desktop support
• Ensure proper tracking, inventory and disposal initiatives are properly implemented and adhered to for physical and digital asset management
• Define, monitor and manage related performance indicators (KPIs) and provide / report on KPI analysis for diverse audiences
• Manage your budgets with fiscal hygiene balanced against business need
• Monitor all enterprise systems and desktop support escalation issues and improve complex or ineffective processes by recommending optimized solutions
• Direct team priorities which will include recruiting, training, motivating, coaching and evaluating performance of staff in multiple, global locations
• Oversee performance and compliance management, and manage suppliers of Enterprise Systems and Desktop Services products and services
• Promote a culture of delivering analytics and business insights versus data
• Adopt and follow change management procedures related to implementation of application changes on enterprise applications
• Ensures team maintains and appropriate documentation necessary to operate all systems
• Establishes and tracks all requests for system enhancements and reports on project status
• Lead architecture and data integration discussions across departments related to enterprise applications
• Operate in accordance with our Information Security Policy related to business systems
◦ Document governing user access privileges (need to know, least privileges, segregation of duties/responsibilities)
◦ Protect data inventory through classification and controls
Success Measures:
• In 3 months you’ll have established relationships and context and taken over a 12 month roadmap balanced against existing resources with expected growth
• In 6 months you’ll have delivered 1-2 key technology levers that alleviate major pain-points
• In 12 months you’ll have established long term vision for enterprise Technology and driven widespread improvements in internal processes that mitigated our current largest bottlenecks
