DESCRIPTION
Amazon is looking for an exceptional Associate Creative Director to join their Devices marketing team. In this role, you will be crafting remarkable customer experiences and brand narratives for products and services like Fire TV, Echo, Alexa, Kindle, and more. You will be working alongside a global team of designers, writers, and production teams to deliver your work across multi-channel platforms.

The ideal candidate must have experience working in an iterative process and professionally accept art direction and feedback. In addition to strong design skills, a candidate must have strong organizational skills, experience leading or working in commercial photo shoots, clear understanding of UX concepts, and acute attention to detail. They must have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully defend their design decisions to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
• Drive world-class customer experience across multi-channel marketing campaigns for the Amazon Devices portfolio
• Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies)
• Obsess over customer experience, utilizing best practices for web design, mobile interactivity, and retail experience
• Collaborate with the Amazon design community at large to share insights and best practices
• Grow team knowledge of best practices and trends in design and marketing
• Work cross-functionally with retail categories to ensure Amazon’s devices presence is consistent across all customer touchpoints
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a creative in the marketing or advertising, with experience across digital advertising or e-commerce design
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating online marketing, in-store merchandising, visual branding, and user-centered design solutions.
• Experience managing multiple projects and with varying deadlines
• 7+ years working with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and others
• Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent professional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Pixel-perfect attention to detail
• Deep background in storytelling across multimedia—ability to scale campaigns from online to in-store experiences
• Global perspective—able to scale campaigns into multiple locations around the world
• Experience shooting and working within video, both in social
• History of working in an iterative environment partnering with others to synthesize feedback from multiple teams/owners
• Expert level photo retouching skills
• Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process related issues.
• Illustration, motion graphics, animation, 3D rendering knowledge is a plus
