Expedia's e-Commerce Platform (eCP) team is at the heart of Expedia's business. Our eCP technology and operations platforms power Expedia's online travel brands worldwide. eCP teams are diverse – we build and maintain foundational systems and infrastructure like Data Centers, Transaction Platforms and Financial Systems. Our business operations include Customer Service as well as Payment and Fraud Operation teams.
The Director of eCP Strategy will work directly with senior leadership to drive the strategic vision for eCP and facilitate the strategy execution in partnership with eCP’s technology, product management and business operations teams. The Director will independently lead cross-functional special project teams in support of eCP leadership to help identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities, and to catalyze action against these priorities. This is a highly visible team with the opportunity to fundamentally craft the future of eCP, making this role an ideal stepping-stone into the faced paced world of e-Commerce and Online Travel.
What you’ll do
•You will play a pivotal role in driving select high-impact strategic initiatives
•You will continually build knowledge of meaningful industry developments and practices across technology, e-commerce, and travel
•You will partner across teams to tackle problems and craft solutions that empower our business to scale and adapt
•You will support the strategy team and senior leadership to define and drive eCP’s long-term strategy and establish a multiyear plan of strategic investment priorities
•You will actively identify and analyze sources of improvement opportunities for eCP

•Demonstrated ability to deliver results through complex cross-functional teams
•Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills, and experience working closely with senior management
•Ability to adapt personal style to different environments, including across functions and cultures
•Experience identifying and prioritizing high impact improvement opportunities
Problem Solving / Problem Structuring / Analytical Skills
•Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the “big picture” while also driving detailed analyses
•Data-led decision maker with the ability to apply appropriate quantitative rigor to the development of analytical models and complex analyses
•Ability to structure problems and synthesize data sets / findings
•Proven track record of defining and executing key analyses and workstreams with minimal supervision

Experience / Education
•4+ years of relevant experience in a top-tier management consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey)
•Prior experience in large technology companies, ideally in an e-commerce environment
•MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
