THE ROLE: We’re looking for…
A Creative Director that will lead the Gilt creative team of Art Directors, Graphic designers and Copy writers to realize the complete vision of the brand. Along with the SVP Creative Director, the Creative Director will devise the concepts and strategies that will take the brand to the next level. The Gilt Creative Director will be able to implement their creative vision and become the point of reference for any creative asset that will be customer facing.
The goal is to achieve the best possible outcome of all Gilt creative projects to meet customer expectations and drive the brands sustainable growth.
What you’ll accomplish…You will;
• Be responsible for the concept and creation of all Gilt assets that live on the cite as well as all Marketing and Social creative content.
• Orient, train, assign, schedule and coach employees.
• Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
• Meet cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.
• Develop basic presentation approaches by reviewing materials and information presented by cross-functional teams.
• Lead and grow a team ranging from entry level to sr level management.
• Work with the HR Business Partner on succession planning and talent mapping.
• Determine production requirements by reviewing requirements; considering scheduling factors.
• Determine production schedule with the Brand Ops team, by conferring with heads of art, copy writing, and production departments; outlining basic presentation concepts; coordinating creative activities.
• Determine project content by reviewing and approving all art materials developed by staff.
• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; recommending changes to art, copy writing, and production departments.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Stay current.
• Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Develop marketing strategies by examining objectives; planning, scheduling, and completing design and production requirements for all functions of Marketing.
• Keep clients informed by compiling, analyzing, and reporting marketing results; forwarding plan projections and updates.
• Revise marketing plan by analyzing campaign results; identifying expansion opportunities.
• Monitor marketing mix and results by coordinating tracking actions with sales and marketing representatives.
• Improve marketing quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing creative processes; implementing changes.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and in professional organizations.
THE RIGHT FIT: You have…
• 5+ years of experience as a Creative Director
• Leadership experience managing a team of at least 8.
• Creative problem solving.
• Experience with people, project and resource management.
• Understanding of the latest creative trends in fashion as well as new technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• An ability to communicate well with staff and clients.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with coaching employees
• The drive for process improvement
• Knowledge of the digital retail world, UX UI Product
• The ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
