WeWork is seeking a creative, proactive, and passionate Social/Email analyst to join our Public Affairs team to manage our research and social/email analysis, reporting, and develop our analytics strategy. Responsibilities range from analyzing data, formulating that data into actionable insights, creating reports as needed by the team and other partners, and working on wider content brainstorms with the rest of the team.
This position requires a deep and thorough understanding of social media analytics across various channels (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Email, and YouTube), and the ability to create clear and insightful reports. It also requires a thorough knowledge of email marketing and associated reporting, preferably within Salesforce products.
As a member of the Content Team as part of WeWork’s wider Public Affairs group, you will develop, lead, and see through reporting and analysis that benefit WeWork’s business while telling the story of our progress, and will ensure that the insights we act on derive from thorough research and analysis.
You are confident in your ability to tell stories through data and have a deep understanding of the current marketing landscape. You will bring an entrepreneurial approach to the role as a natural networker and self-starter, and a high level of comfort with navigating personalities and team dynamics in a fast-moving and fluid environment.
The role demands creativity, energy, dynamism, and a positive attitude combined with diligence and vigilance. You are a confident writer and communicator, and an extraordinary relationship manager with good judgment and a passion for the ever-evolving world of intriguing content from social media and email marketing.
Responsibilities:
• Passion for data and the way it can create value, tell a story, and lead to action
• Provide insight, identify trends, craft stories, and recommend optimizations based on analysis of our social and member email marketing channels
• Support SEO strategies by understanding keyword priorities and how they integrate into social marketing plans
• Monitor and evaluate social media results daily in coordination with our goals and benchmarks
• Report on competitor activity in online communities, and regularly prepare and present competitive analyses to the management team
• Partner with internal teams to understand their goals and implement automations (and/or triggered emails or Slack messages) to ensure that all campaigns are tracked and reported on appropriately
• Build topical, brand, campaign, competitor, industry, and custom-level analysis as required
• Able to collaborate and present data in a non-technical environment as well as among technical individuals
• Build the infrastructure and reporting/dashboards for social and email marketing teams
• Utilize historical data and secondary research to provide insights to inform business decisions
• Enhance current business processes through identifying opportunities for improvements and automation
• Support team on writing SQL queries
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with social media analytics in a professional setting, ideally within a complex corporate environment operating on a global scale
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or other Quantitative fields is preferred
• An adaptable problem solver who is skilled at building and nurturing relationships, and balancing priorities. Thrives working cross-functionally with multiple teams
• Tenacious, driven, and creative, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in a query language such as SQL or equivalent
• Experience with advanced Excel, data analysis, and reporting skills (hands-on use of pivot tables, vLookups, and advanced formulas/functions for large datasets)
• Expertise in one or more BI and data visualization tools (Chartio, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Experience working with various digital advertising platforms, including AdWords, Facebook, Google Analytics, and Sprinklr, or other social listening and content management systems
• Experience in reporting on customer insights and LTV analysis as well as with A/B and statistical significance techniques such as t-test, ANOVA, correlation, or others
