DESCRIPTION
Audible is seeking a Director of Product Management to drive the product strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement of its global financial systems including Royalty Calculations, Payments, and GL. You will be a key player in supporting the growth of Audible through the successful management of vital operational platforms. If you want to drive key decisions and work at the intersection of business and technology with the world’s largest seller and producer of spoken audio entertainment, this is the role for you!
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented, ambitious self-starter with strong communication skills. You will have deep technology understanding, strong product-oriented thinking, and demonstrate a passion for building value for internal stakeholders and users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish and drive the product strategy and vision for Audible’s global financial platforms.
• Serve as the agile product owner for one or more development teams, building a roadmap, writing user stories, collaborating closely with development teams on execution to deliver products globally, and managing expectations with all relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
• Work closely with business groups, engineering, finance, accounting, design, legal and other internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Partner with project management, engineers, and stakeholders to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve challenges that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
ABOUT YOU
• Intellectual thought leadership in the Product Management function
• Ability to drive the product development process in a highly collaborative partnership model.
• High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Superior verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, concise, and clear manner.
• Experience in partnering with product and technical teams to identify and influence development of new products, features, and functionalities.
• Proven history of maintaining a successful roadmap, managing prioritization and trade-offs of short-term value and long-term strategic goals.
• Track record of driving decisions with data and analytics but be able to apply judgment when data is ambiguous or absent.
• Diving deep in understanding the product, our business, operations, and a drive to iterate and improve continuously.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years’ experience in related positions with increasing responsibility
• 5+ years of experience in B2B, enterprise, financial, or operational systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• BA/BS required, MBA Preferred.
