The VP, Insides Sales will manage a team of Inside Sales Executives/ Sales Development Reps and will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing strategies to grow revenues in new/existing accounts and select target markets. He/she will be measured on accepted pipeline target and revenue target. The VP, Inside Sales will be in collaboration across the other lines of business.
Essential Job Functions
• Manage and support the team to develop and execute sales strategies to profitably grow revenues within existing accounts and expand the account base in target markets.
• Ensure healthy make-up of deals from a Software AG perspective, including the maximization of standard rate maintenance combined with new revenue.
• Effectively and accurately managing forecasting and pipeline reporting related to revenue, and specific accuracy around timelines for forecasting.
• Performance manage, lead, coach and mentor Inside Sales Managers/ SDR Managers with a hands-on, team-oriented approach.
• Work with marketing, product management, pre-sales, and professional services teams to maximize opportunities and foster cohesive sales strategies.
• Pursue and close opportunities with Enterprise customers.
• Shows personal commitment, strong leadership skills and experienced in working in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to recruit, motivate, & retain top-talent
ABOUT YOU
Requirements:
• Background includes having established and executed call plans, orchestrated account-planning sessions and effectively executed account strategies.
• Extensive experience in successfully managing a sales team within the enterprise solutions industry.
• Basic understanding of BPMS, SOA, B2B, EAI Technology, marketplace and technical concepts.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to think and act strategically.
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience selling software based solutions, specifically into targeted new name accounts.
• Has a successful track record in the Software Industry, has proven experience developing C-Level relationships, and is a hands-on "player".
• Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills, clear and concise sales
Education and Experience
• BA/BS degree or equivalent and familiarity with internet technologies.
• 7+ years successful management of Inside Sales / Account Development team
• 5+ years of experienced solution-based selling value
