Sr. Product Manager - Collaboration
Purpose
It's an amazing time to be working at Box. We have a large and quickly growing customer base that includes 69% of the Fortune 500 and companies worldwide. Yet we're small enough that we move fast and ship product continuously.
Why the team needs you
We have exceptional engineers, creative designers and inspiring leaders, and we are looking for a passionate product leader with a consumer focus -- who will reinvent the way millions of users work by defining our workspaces and collaboration strategy, and executing to ship product.
Why you need Box
Box is growing fast. Real fast. Every business in the world is looking to modernize the way they work. As the leader in cloud content management, Box is the only company that can help enterprises transform how people work together. And this role sits at the core of Box's strategy to shape the future of work.
We are a product-driven company and our product managers are highly visible and engaged both across the business, and externally as experts in the field. On one day, you'll be talking to some of our end users (out of the millions of users who use Box every day); the next, you'll be crafting the vision and strategy for the future of work based on customer and data insights; and, the day after, you'll be leading a team of engineers, designers and business analysts to deliver on the strategy you devised. In no time, you'll be presenting in front of thousands at our customer conference, BoxWorks.
Who you are
You're a product person through and through. You care deeply about how your products materially make your customers' lives better. You build your product instinct by continually talking to customers. You understand the business and the analytics/metrics that drive success. And you bring that ethos to work every day, where you work collaboratively with design, analytics, and engineering team members to bring outstanding products to market.
Here's the fine print:
• You have 5+ years of product management experience shipping products in a dynamic and fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• You've worked in a consumer product setting and you know how to obtain quantitative and qualitative insights from millions of users
• Data is your thing: you are able to gather and analyze data to extract customer insights
• You are comfortable both doing high-level strategy and execution: you are confident giving a presentation to the CEO and running a meeting with engineers and designers
• You have a design-centric approach to problems and you have experience applying design thinking methodologies
• You have a passion for building great end-user experiences that deliver real value without complexity.
• You are an owner and are biased towards action: you inspire the team around you not only execute the product strategy but also to 10x.
Sounds exciting? We look forward to meeting you!
