This position will be part of Expedia's eCommerce Platform (eCP) team, which is at the heart of Expedia's business. Our eCP technology and operations platforms power Expedia's online travel brands worldwide. eCP teams are diverse – we build and maintain foundational systems and infrastructure like data centers, transaction platforms and financial systems. Our business operations include customer service as well as payment and fraud operation teams.
So, what does a Senior Learning Product Developer at Expedia do?
As part of eCP Learning & Development (L&D), we'll work together on constructing diversified learning products and evangelizing cultural programs. You will craft unique learning experiences for a growing distributed team of over 3,500 associates. You will focus on building measurable impact and delighting our users by designing and developing interactive learning products linked to our strategic goals, cultural values, and overall business performance. We have team members in offices around the world, so you will play a role in identifying and seizing opportunities to scale learning solutions across our various global teams.
What does a typical day look like for a Senior Learning Product Developer?
We are a product-led L&D team, so you will blend the organization's needs with the needs of our users to iteratively build engaging, blended learning experiences. Your day starts off with a developer stand-up meeting, and then may move into empathy interviews with users. Depending on your assigned products, you may help shoot and edit a live-action video or animation, develop an interactive online simulation, or craft a facilitator kit for peer-led workshops. Throughout the day, you will collaborate with a team of passionate learning professionals and work directly with users, partners and leadership.

Required Experience: What qualifications do you look for?
• You are an excellent written and verbal communicator who demonstrates a consistent attention to detail, able to conceptualize and explain technical concepts to various audiences
• You have strong strategic and critical thinking skills; an ability to see the “big picture” while also diving into details as necessary
• You are well-versed in working cross-culturally and cross-functionally, including with subject matter experts, users, global partners, and leadership
• Your excellent project management skills are accompanied by a voracious get-it-done attitude
• You can develop for multiple projects at the same time while handling shifting priorities
• You are creative and have the ability to think in unexpected ways to increase engagement through new channels, styles, and challenging the ordinary
• You have a real passion for continuous excellence
• You are positive, professional, always engaged, and eager to grow in high pressure situations and environments
• You have an in-depth knowledge of learning theory and methodologies in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of online, in-person, and blended learning solutions
• 3+ years of experience in design and development of creative learning content
• Working knowledge of graphic design principles and tools, and animation production experience preferred
• Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, content production, performance improvement, project management, or tool-specific certifications are a plus
• Product management and agile development experience are a plus
