Business Operations Manager
The Enterprise Business Operations team serves as the cross-functional partner to WeWork’s Enterprise leadership team and business unit leads for the Enterprise business line. This function is central to our group’s discipline around data-driven decision making and integral to driving how the business evaluates, prioritizes, tracks, measures and executes against strategic and business initiatives.
About the Role
As one of the first Enterprise Business Operations team members you’ll report to and work closely with the Business Operations lead helping to prioritize and plan key projects to ensure the team meets its business goals. This is an amazing opportunity and role that interfaces with nearly every business leader and integrates into nearly every business function and aspect of the business.
To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across the organization. You must possess deep problem solving and analytical skills and an ever-present willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. You’ll help us build and streamline our operations, improve efficiencies across our business line and measure impact at every step. Insatiable curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement in operations are musts.
Responsibilities
• Project manage, plan, coordinate and align all stakeholders across strategic initiatives.
• Develop detailed Key Action project plans from strategic high-level initiatives.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Create, manage and automate operational reports and dashboards to monitor the performance of our business line and specific projects.
• Understand continuous improvement initiatives and implementation best practices within project teams.
• Aid in the design and delivery of systems to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders have the most accurate project data.
• Identify process issues that affect project teams and surface to Product Systems and Operations department
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, finance and business heads to build, refine and/or maintain centralized systems and data “pipes” by which the business reports, measures and runs the business.
• Interact with all interdisciplinary stakeholders to manage key communications.
Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in high-impact, analytical roles in sales/business operations, finance, and/or management consulting. Experience in business development and/or fast paced technology company a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA strongly preferred.
• Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle.
• Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations. Ability to execute research projects and generate practical results and recommendations.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, and demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format.
• Genuine passion for technology, data-driven mindset, and/or entrepreneurship.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps.
