We are seeking a International Benefits Director to serve as the Center Of Expertise (COE) for benefits programs in ~ 30 countries with the exception of the US. The scope of countries spans across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This role will focus on benefits such as health and welfare, retirement, time off, work/life programs, and perks. The right candidate will be a technical expert in employee benefit programs, hyper-focused on top-notch customer (employee) support, an effective communicator, and proficient in benefits operations. In this role, you will:
• Design, implement, and regularly review benefit programs for employees outside of the US; guide and oversee the development, implementation, and management of benefit programs for employees across multiple regions in direct partnership with Local and Regional HR/People Leaders
• Ensure programs remain market competitive, cost effective, legally compliant, and aligned with our global benefits philosophy and business needs
• Monitor trends in the marketplace, prevalent practices among peer companies, emerging technologies, and new product solutions to help shape recommendations for new programs or program improvements
• Prepare annual project plan and operating budget in close partnership with Global,Regional, and Local HR/People Leaders
• Conduct due diligence and manage integrations relative to potential mergers and acquisitions
• Maintain operational excellence across multiple countries and regions through process documentation, controls, and strong vendor management
• Develop and execute effective and innovative benefits communications
About the Team
The International Benefits Director will be a critical member of our Total Rewards Team, and be based in our NYC headquarters. The role will report to the Head of Total Rewards who sits on our People Leadership Team (PLT).
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required with advanced degree/credentials prefered
• 8 or more years of experience and progressive responsibility in international benefit
• Deep knowledge of multi-market benefit program design, management and communications
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the multi-market benefit regulatory environment and administration
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; possesses a marketer’s mindset when approaching benefits communications
• Creative and innovative with strong problem solving skills and judgment
• Strong experience in a globally matrixed organization
