The Regional Vice President is responsible for leading a team of Account Executives, specific to Commercial Sales. The sales teams are responsible for assigned quotas achieved through a defined number of Commercial accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage the Commercial Sales organization in the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical.
• Ongoing development of a sales team which includes: hiring, retaining, and training new managers and account executives on the Salesforce sales process
• Manage a team of Account Executives and ensure they are held accountable to their revenue goals and assist them in achieving these goals
• Work cross functionally with Business Partners including: Finance, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales Operations, Global Support Services, Renewals and Human Resources
• Regularly interact with customers, partners and integrators
• Operational excellence in the day- to- day management of the business including (but not limited to) forecasting, pipeline development, training, certifications, hiring, performance management, collaboration, teamwork and best practice sharing
• Initiate, develop and maintain executive level relationships and drive sales activities with key customers
• Understand target customer's business needs, develop proposals and accurately articulate the Salesforce value proposition at the executive level
• Assist and close complex, multi-million dollar transactions
Minimum Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 7 years experience managing and selling enterprise software in a highly competitive environment with a track record of sales success, managing a sales organization within a Fortune 1000 technology organization
• Previous experience in a first line management role
Preferred Job Requirements:
• Strong executive presence - experience and comfort level working with C--level executives at Commercial companies
• Experience developing and building a sales organization through hiring, training, developing, and goal/objective setting of seasoned sales individuals
• Proven record of sales success and proven record of success in a high volume environment High level of business acumen
• Excellent communicator, both written and spoken
• Able to work across multi-functions/multi-individuals to achieve desired results
