ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Sr. Finance Analyst to join our finance team that supports the AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement team. This role is on the AWS Infrastructure Finance team and will support the Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement business. We provide end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in designing and procuring server equipment. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities include:
1) Serve as a key business partner working directly with AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations. You must have the ability to structure problems, perform analysis, and present to senior executives. Supporting business partners at Amazon requires the ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partners
2) Build and maintain the server capex forecasting processes
3) Evaluate the impact of server capital spending on regional financials
4) Develop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goals with business team
5) Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to AWS senior management
6) Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
• 5+ years of relevant finance experience
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Cognos TM1
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel user, VBA (even better)
• Ability to work with senior business partners in a fast moving business. A passion for delivering results and building trust with more senior leaders
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
