Overview
The Director of Field Enablement is responsible for the design, development and dissemination of selling tools, collateral and training to drive incremental productivity of our field facing teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of enablement methodologies and be experienced creating a culture of learning through organization, collaboration, and accountability as evidenced by broad based program ownership, enablement certification, standardized curriculums, clear program objectives and KPIs, and cross organization participation.
The position also requires the ability to understand the process by which a b2b organization’s buyers make decisions and how our reps drive these decisions in the quickest, most favorable way.
Roles/ Responsibilities
• Create a competency model for field/inside sales forces, as well as other supporting roles
• Assess the range of sales roles in terms of their development needs
• Create, select, deploy, manage and measure enablement training programs (including classroom, workshop and online)
• Liaise with product/solution marketing as it creates and distributes content to various sales resources
• Manage external vendors and suppliers of enablement-related training and tools
• Develop, deploy and manage the organization’s enablement certification program
• Leverage first-line managers as agents of enablement
• Support corporate and sales strategies and objectives
• Ensure that team is prepared to effectively sell against the competition
• Manage the sales content portal
• Coordinate and manage sales communication strategy and field delivery
• Stay informed on cutting-edge tools and technology that may be leveraged to improve sales productivity
• Set and manage the sales enablement budget

Background/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Master’s degree/MBA a plus Background/ Experience
• Five or more years in a Field Enablement role
• Three or more years of sales/sales management experience
• Product marketing/field marketing experience strongly desired
• Strong knowledge of sales effectiveness (skills/ knowledge training)
• Training/education/consulting
