Executive Assistant II to Vice President of Kindle Content Demand
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking an exceptionally talented, resourceful and customer centric Executive Assistant to support the Vice President of Kindle Content Demand in Seattle, Washington. This is a high impact, high visibility position with the opportunity to be a part of history in the making.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, composure and a good sense of humor.
The position will work closely with the VP and his teams facilitating key team activities, projects and tracking deliverables. Responsibilities for this position will require one who thinks and plans ahead, prioritizes short and long term, and manages time not only effectively, but with style and grace. It requires superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and juggle multiple projects. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information. Flexibility and the ability to change direction at a moment’s notice is crucial to this position. The successful candidate will possess the skills to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations which require a quick turnaround, be able to take effective action without having to know the complete picture, and efficiently and proactively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the department or other related groups. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars across international time-zones, coordinate domestic as well as international travel, and act as a general liaison and point of contact for their teams, facilities, fellow assistants and other key partners across the company. The ideal candidate will be focused on balancing superior customer service across all levels and “customers” as well as being an extension of the office across all partners across Amazon.
Other key responsibilities include:
• Manage complex calendar and scheduling
• Provide seamless support to the Vice President utilizing real-time prioritization of business activities
• Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars to drive key team building and growth
• Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
-Owning key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)
• Have fun at work and help others do the same
• Build relationships with assistants throughout the team and across the company
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience assisting at the executive level in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook is essential, as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio
• Experience with domestic and international travel coordination

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining a commitment to deadlines and long term goals
