The Technology Marketing and Branding team's mission is to tell the story of our passionate technologists solving hard problems at the world's most innovative software company. We put the spotlight on Salesforce's Technology & Products team through social media, conferences, speaking engagements, and recruiting events with the goal of showing engineers in the community that we ARE the engineering destination. We are responsible for building the Salesforce Technology brand in the tech community, driving candidate pipeline through social recruiting strategies, and showcasing our amazing technologists.
You are a passionate technology evangelist, a savvy social media strategist, an organizational change agent, a great communicator, a brilliant marketer, and a geek at heart.
Responsibilities:
• Marketing & Branding Strategy:
◦ Define and drive the marketing strategies for the Technology team
◦ Create strategy to participate in specific tech conferences by staying ahead of current tech industry trends
◦ Develop strong relationships with cloud engineering leads to understand their business and long-term strategy
• Content Strategy:
◦ Align leadership on content strategy and messaging, ensuring our team members, blogs, and other communication methods reference that point of view
◦ Create cohesive quarterly content and event strategy that will showcase various areas of our engineering org like infrastructure, development, security, etc. and seed topics that are trending in the industry
• Program Design & Delivery:
◦ Elevate our own technology leaders to be recognized in the industry via various marketing efforts
◦ Manage the Engineering blog and Technology team social media strategy
◦ Produce a steady stream of relevant, data-driven content with internal and external contributors as aligned with goals
◦ Drive engagement of open source contributions and point of view
◦ Lead presence at major events + support additional events led by engineers
◦ Oversee conference presentation approval process and day-to-day management
◦ Host networking ancillary events at Dreamforce and third party conferences
◦ Develop and maintain the SalesforceEng brand both internally and externally as the company and industry changes and grows.
• Build Partnerships/Relationships:
◦ Identify and develop relationships with technology thought leaders
◦ Work with Recruiting and Engineering teams to understand their technology recruiting needs and drive maximum candidate engagement
◦ Align efforts with the Office of Equality
◦ Team Leadership:
◦ Guide internal team, prioritize work and strategy for the business; Analyze and report on success and effectiveness of efforts to execs & stakeholders

Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree
• 4-5 years experience in related field (e.g., interactive agency, marketing, public relations, and/or social recruiting); 1-2 years experience with event marketing or recruiting
• Proven leader who can define strategy, influence across the organization, and execute brilliantly
• Successful track record of executing social media and marketing campaigns; ideally, a social media thought leader in the tech community
• Experience using listening & reporting tools like Omniture, Google Analytics, Marketing Cloud
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and project management skills
• Analytically strong with proven ability to demonstrate data interpretation capabilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Basic understanding of SEO and SEM a plus
• Experience with vendor and budget management
