Role Description
As the Director of Product Analytics, you will be responsible for setting direction and driving the team to deliver on our mission of using data to inform product decisions. You are a leader with a passion for growing, mentoring and empowering teams. You’ll be the chief evangelist for the role of data and the Product Analytics team at Dropbox, and will be a key thought partner to Dropbox’s Head of Product — guiding and influencing product strategy through an analytics lens. You and will work closely with colleagues in Product, Design, Engineering and Product Research to enable rapid iteration to ship incredible product experiences for our users. You will also build close relationships with cross-functional analytics leaders across business functions to strengthen the data-driven culture across Dropbox. Responsibilities
• Mentor, empower, and coach Product Analysts and Product Analyst Leads
• Recruit strong Product Analysts to grow the team
• Ensure Product Analytics alignment with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Design
• Be a strategic partner with the product leadership team, influencing product strategy and decisions through data and insights
• Enable a strong data driven culture for Dropbox by working with Data Infrastructure, Analytics Platform, Business Intelligence, and other Analytics team teams to define best practice for data logging, rigor and governance
• Identify, translate, prioritize, and inform important product questions with data
• Set direction and drive standard methodologies for leveraging experiments in product development lifecycle
Requirements
• BS/BA in Math, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field
• 10+ years experience in analytics functions for a technology company, including 5+ years as a manager
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment
• Fluency in SQL and Statistical tools with a solid understanding of statistical analysis, experiment design, and the common pitfalls of data analysis
• Strong communicator: You effectively synthesize, visualize, and communicate your ideas
• Critical thinker: You are thoughtful, self-aware, and use available evidence to make decisions
• Collaborative: You work effectively with others and win credibility quicklyRole Description
