Regional, Global Data Center Operations
Director of Data Center Operations will be responsible for establishing and executing on the global data center strategy. The Director of Data Center Operations will promote the vision and provide leadership for the Global Data Center Operations Team chartered with providing world class deployment, availability and operations in support of enterprise cloud solutions.
The qualified candidate will develop and lead a high performing team while partnering with key stakeholders in business and technology areas across the company.
Responsibilities include:
• Create a vision and strategy for the Data Center Operations team that promotes discipline, efficiency while providing world-class support of a fast growing Cloud business
• Recruit, provide leadership and management of a high-performance team of hands-on and remote team
• Implement process for performance management and continuous improvement against established key performance indicators
• Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery
• Provide executive leadership team quarterly business updates
• Effectively drive change initiatives targeted at decreasing operating expense and increasing operational efficiencies; including but not limited to contract re-negotiations, organizational alignments and data center consolidations
• Delivery of effective datacenter systems support for Global Data Centers, Servers, Storage, and Automation to address business goals and operational requirements.
• Partner with Architects, Engineers and other stakeholders to assist in the design, communicate and implement Strategies, Technology Roadmaps, Standards, Processes and Services
• Partner with Global Information Security to ensure security, audit and compliance requirements are met
• Responsible for data center availability inclusive of problem management and corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery activities
• Continuous evaluation of key performance indicators and taking correcting actions to achieve established goals
Ideal candidates qualifications:
• Proven leader with ability to create a vision and proven track record for execution and obtaining established goals
• 10+ years' experience leading teams responsible for Datacenter Operations and Service Delivery for global mid to large sized corporations with geographically dispersed populations
• Passionate, collaborative, results-oriented leader with a proven track record of inspiring and building strong performing teams
• Demonstrated technical management knowledge in the areas Converged Infrastructure, Virtualization, High-availability design, Cloud solutions and disaster recovery services
• Experience in implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures
• Experience leading geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and planning skills; Strong influencing / negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience working in service delivery
