DESCRIPTION
Amazon Advertising Group is seeking a Creative Director to lead our creative team in the Seattle office.
As the leader of this team, you will manage art director(s), designers, writers, and producers in the flawless execution of original branded experiences for Amazon’s wide array of Fortune 500 clients. You will forge strong relationships with key business partners in Sales and Account Management to define vertical priorities and goals for which you and your team will be accountable. You will work alongside the Executive Creative Director and/or Group Creative Director to set and enforce a high creative bar and design aesthetic that define the advertising experience for Amazon’s customers. Your team will create innovative, visually stunning, and effective advertising experiences that live on and off Amazon’s platform. You will represent the Amazon Advertising Group by evangelizing our capabilities and innovation directly with our top clients.

Specific Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team of conceptual art directors, writers, visual, interactive, and motion designers who deliver industry-leading innovation to our advertising clients
• Define vertical priorities, team goals, and design standards to build a durable, high-performance team
• Identify and drive key initiatives to achieve team goals and develop mechanisms to measure and audit progress toward goals
• Forge strong partnerships with our Sales, Service, Product, and Design Tech teams, as well as Senior Leadership, to ensure flawless execution and strong cross-team collaboration.
• Engage with advertisers and their creative agencies to understand customer needs, showcase the Amazon Advertising Group’s creative capabilities, and identify opportunities to drive innovation on behalf of our customers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor degree in design or equivalent professional experience required
• Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience setting art direction, coordinating, and reviewing the work of the design team and other clients and internal stakeholders to ensure highest quality and unity of visual style
• Strong project management skills, team-oriented individual with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong creative direction, visual design acumen, and experience creating great interactive advertising experiences is a requirement for application
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop and the full Adobe Creative Suite
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a creative leader, preferably with 8 years in an interactive agency environment
• Master’s degree preferred
