The Veritas Appliance Solutions test automation teams are critical engineering teams focused on the tools, infrastructure and automation needed to take our testing to the next level. Our team is seeking a senior software engineer with a focus in test automation to extend our testing tools, optimize our test infrastructure and work with development teams to drive down our test times. This hands-on engineer will work in a fast paced, agile team environment. He/She will help drive testing best practices, support the greater engineering teams and play an integral part in further building out our automated testing needs.
What you will be doing:
• Relentlessly drive to improve the scalability and efficiency of our test tools and infrastructure.
• Work in an extremely fast paced, collaborative and challenging environment with a focus on driving best practices across the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering and across other business units to keep our automation tests running and our release dates on track.
What skills and education you need as a team member:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a QA engineer, tools engineer or software engineer with a focus on testing automation.
• Outstanding critical thinking and collaboration skills with a strong passion to get to the “root of the problem”.
• 3+ years of experience with virtualization technologies such as Vmware.
• 3+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks such as Robot.
• 3+ years of experience coding in Python.
• Experience with container and deployment technologies such a docker and ansible.
• Experience automating deployments to physical and virtual hosts.
• Basic understanding of linux, networking and infrastructure such as LDAP, DHCP, AD.
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent required (M.S. Preferred).
