About the Position:The Art Director will be working closely with the Creative Director and the Creative team to implement and produce high quality creative solutions for our brands. As the creative lead on these various projects, you will help oversee, inspire and guide, and train team members on technical and administrative aspects where appropriate. The Art Director will handle the day-to-day operations of the creative team. You will manage multiple accounts and projects and lead members of the creative team including designers, photographers, and videographers. You need to understand the unique needs of each of our brands and help maintain and develop brand identities according to the needs.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Creative Director and the Creative team regularly to ensure project development and completion, relay project concerns and needs, and provide trainings and feedback wherever needed.
Coordinate to understand the unique brands and help guide team’s performance to produce deliverables that match the brand’s unique needs.
Develop your technical knowledge to keep up with the fast-moving industry and show a willingness to learn and discover new skills and technology as needed to facilitate the best possible results for our teams.
Represent the company proudly through the deliverables that are produced for each of the brands.
Share your knowledge and skills with the Creative team to increase the value and training of the team.
Collaborate, oversee, and give direction to team members as needed.
Provide constructive feedback and support to team members to improve outcomes and performance.
Develop and manage online and offline artwork systems and best practice methods that improve workflow in conjunction with the Creative teams.
Attend meetings as required
Adhere to company policies and processes, but be willing to make suggestions to improve the quality, efficiency, and performance of the company.
Take a lead role in ensuring the smooth running of the creative department.
Maintain an excellent filing system for work in progress.
Ensure all hardcopy files relevant for each project are collated and accessible.
Perform basic administrative/staff support duties as required.
Requirements
A few years of work experience using Adobe Creative Suite and other appropriate mediums to produce deliverables
An excellent understanding of all areas of the design, creative, and video/photography process.
Some working knowledge of marketing and retail strategy.
Excellent attention to detail in all areas of the design and the creative process.
Responsible for file-to-server workflow, including creating jobs with the correct file names or job numbers to preparation for archiving.
Ability to deliver unique design solutions for each project using highly creative concepts and ideas.
An excellent knowledge of art directing photography and briefing stylists.
Communication skills to interact with peers and supervisors
Ability to take constructive feedback and willingness to learn from others
Excellent time management with the ability to work across multiple projects.
Very good presentation skills to be able to convey concepts, ideas, or strategies to your audience internally or externally wherever needed.
Self-motivated individual who has the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising project quality.
Proactive in the development of new products and technologies.
Must be willing to provide a portfolio
