Sr. Art Director, Amazon Devices
DESCRIPTION
You are an experienced design art director who has successfully demonstrated taking business goals and turning them into exceptional world-class designs. You understand the complexity of digital marketing and social media, and know how to set the visual standard for a range of product categories. You have strong organizational skills, web/social expertise, design aesthetic, typographic skills, and acute attention to detail.
We are Amazon Devices Marketing. We represent the Echo, Kindle, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, and Dash Button product lines. We are responsible for creating, developing and always improving Amazon's online marketing. Your designs will be seen by millions of people each day across Amazon’s homepage, device detail pages, email and mobile channels. Our aim is to deliver compelling designs that create a world-class customer experience. We start with the customer in mind as we strive to create a successful shopping experience and grow the Kindle brand.
Responsibilities
• Create GTM, demand generation and CRM campaigns that elevate Amazon’s device brands across email, social, and mobile marketing
• Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs
• Understand user experience best practices for desktop + mobile design
• Use current and future marketing channels to inform and delight our customers
• Present and defend visual design solutions to leadership and team owners
• Collaborate with the Amazon design community at large to ensure consistent brand use across multiple marketing channels
• Grow team knowledge of best design practices and trends in web and graphic design
• Work with various categories to refresh/improve Amazon device’s presence in their categories
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating visual branding, online marketing, and great user-centered design solutions.
• Minimum of 10 years of design experience, 4+ in digital marketing.
• Experience hiring, developing and managing a creative team.
• Experience managing multiple projects and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to work cross-team and synthesize feedback from multiple teams/owners
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent professional experience
• Sense of humor
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Video and motion graphic experience.
• Experience designing for e-commerce and/or retail.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to executive management
