E*TRADE Financial is looking for a seasoned and talented Director of Product Management professional with expertise in bringing superior customer experiences to market. This professional will be responsible for working cross-functionally to drive complex acquisitions, on-boarding, funding, and customer engagement initiatives across etrade.com. Candidate must be highly motivated, detailed oriented, extremely well organized and have excellent written/oral and leadership skills.
This professional will be responsible for building and delivering the roadmap to bring our customer acquisition and engagement strategies to life on etrade.com. This will include responsibility for how customers interact with our online account applications, funding processes, welcoming and on-boarding, and cross-sell. Candidate will manage a team to execute a portfolio of initiatives, including responsibility for customer experience and business metrics, and will partner with multiple teams in design, development and management of our online solutions. Successful candidates will also possess a strong working knowledge of competing capabilities, industry trends, and customer needs. Candidate will also drive adoption of multivariate testing across etrade.com.
Roadmap & Strategy
● Drive roadmap definition for acquisition and engagement experience through industry/competitive analysis, data insights, feedback analysis, and user experience expertise
● Establish and aggressively grow onsite testing practice both in their own area and across the entire product org
● Provide thought leadership on design, experience and features
● Own roadmap implementation planning and delivery, collaborating with partners in other Business Units, Marketing, UX, Design, Corporate Services, Technology & QA teams to bring solutions to life
Customer and Market Analysis
● Proactively identify, analyze and address needs across etrade.com.
● Monitor competitors and industry trends, work with in-house research and reporting departments to develop metrics, interpret results and present recommendations to business leaders.
● Analyze user data and feedback to measure the effectiveness and competitiveness of products
● Partner with business representatives at all levels to assess, initiate, and drive appropriate customer experience, business process and technology solutions to develop new products or improve existing offerings.
● Define initiatives to achieve vision for customer channels, and serve as primary contact for key initiatives
● Manage overall portfolio including requirements, schedule and prioritization
● Develop business justification for key new features including customer needs, business case, competitive landscape
● Champion efforts with Marketing and Business Teams to design and manage strategies to introduce and expand the reach of our platforms
Execution
● Own the end-to-end execution plan for ETRADE.com initiatives. Perform Product Management functions before, during, and after technical implementation
● Lead project/product requirements to ensure appropriate development schedules, design criteria, costs and technical specifications met the defined business need.
● Work and collaborate closely with UX, design, development and QA teams to efficiently launch innovative features on-time across E*TRADE’s online customer touchpoints
● Ensure applicable business requirements and functional requirements are defined and gain approval from business and department leaders.
● Identify and lead resolution of processes and problems in a timely fashion to negate or minimize business impact.
● Conduct hands-on functional testing and validation of business requirements and system functionality in conjunction with Quality Assurance teams.
● Work closely with existing E*TRADE products, marketing, services, and support groups to educate customers on new features and functionality
● Create project documents (presentations, migration plans, communication plans) and gain approval from business and technology leaders.
● Assist in defining and implementing strategic product plans and roadmaps for the website channel
● Build relationships cross-functionally with other product teams, technology, QA and customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
● 7+ years of experience in online product development/management, with strong supporting skills such as project management, data analysis, UX & design expertise, requirements writing
● Superior analytical, interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, and technical), presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
● Experience managing the definition and execution of projects (conceptualization, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation).
● Experience managing teams
● Proven experience in managing multiple projects with aggressive timelines simultaneously.
● Ability to work with cross-functional teams to effectively manage business objectives
● Experience with both Agile & Waterfall development methodologies
● Self-motivated, detailed-oriented, team player, and organized.
● Knowledge of financial products is required. Experience in the financial industry preferred.
● Familiarity with user experience and design.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
