Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, creative and strategic-minded Product Marketing professional to join our Product Marketing team, reporting to the VP of Product Marketing within the Product organization. As a Product Marketing Director, you will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for MediaMath products. You will craft the messaging and position for products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits is crucial. In your role as a Product Marketing Director, you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.
This role will regularly engage with key stakeholders including Product leads and leadership, the Commercial, Engagement and Account teams, MediaMath’s Marketing team, and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure messaging is aligned across the Product organization and all other divisions, toward the goal of a cohesive and client-centric narrative. The role is primarily focused on the North America market, but also supports MediaMath’s global teams and clients as needed.
You will:
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market, and equips our Client Success Organization with a benefits-driven narrative for how our products solve client challenges
• Sales Enablement: Communicate the value proposition of our products to the Commercial, Engagement and Account teams, and to external clients and partners
• Inspire creativity in the team to engage with internal and external audiences in new ways
• Contribute significantly to the ongoing creation of the Product Roadmap by understanding market trends, client demands, product adoption rates, revenue goals and more
• Build materials to support the selling and ongoing usage of our products, from presentations to case studies to training decks (this role is not responsible for client-specific pitches, however)
• Manage planning and execution of product launches, and managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan
• Work with Product leads on offerings already in-market, to increase usage, ensure best practices, and ensure customer questions are answered
• Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to out-compete them
• Assist with branding and naming, and ensure consistency of terminology across the org
• Ensure that all relevant teams across the organization are kept informed of Product activity, by compiling and distributing comprehensive communications and documentation
• Collaborate with Marketing team on planning and executing publicity and thought leadership initiatives
• Build strong relationships with all stakeholders; understand differing viewpoints and needs of each to ensure organization understands and adopts new products and releases
You are:
• Excellent communicator; specifically, strong listening, negotiation, and presentation.
• Able to confidently present materials live in large groups, both internal and external
• Excellent people and management skills, and enjoyment of frequent interaction and collaboration with colleagues, cross-functional teams, senior management and third parties
• Innovative problem solver: Ability to design solutions that create value for all key constituents: MediaMath, clients, and partners
• Excellent with Project management skills: managing timelines, hitting deadlines, and keeping all stakeholders informed.
• Superb attention to detail is an absolute must
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding and fun, entrepreneurial environment, and prepared to go the extra mile
You have:
• 5 -7+ years’ experience in B2B SaaS Product Marketing within the AdTech/MarTech or digital space
• Deep understanding of the AdTech/MarTech, data, media and programmatic industries a strong plus
• Product Management, Sales Engineering or Account Management experience is a plus
• Strong experience with Identity solutions is required
• Willingness to travel 25%
• Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of product marketing strategies and life-cycle management
• Ability translate complex concepts into benefits-driven and compelling marketing messages
• Strong grasp of basic design and layout principles, and commitment to excellent output
• Excellent PowerPoint skills; proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
