Job Purpose
As Product Manager you will join the NYSE Market Data team to help set the strategy, plan product enhancements and drive the execution of business for real time data products suite. In this role, you will be the business owner of NYSE real time data products. This includes all aspects of the business ranging from product development to pricing, marketing and liaising with sales to grow market data revenue for real time data products.
You must be able to communicate and manage expectations with internal as well external stakeholders such as business analysts, development, QA, project management and customers as you make business decisions in this high growth environment where priorities shift fast. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment, while demonstrating strong problem-solving, extensive technical skills, decision-making abilities and the highest level of professionalism.
The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy learning and be willing to understand complex business problems and find innovative solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and own roadmap for real time data products and socialize it with internal and external stakeholders
• Articulate and deliver customer lead enhancements and new products
• Keep abreast of new data uses and technologies and ensure commercialization addresses these changes
• Develop and launch new products and enhance existing products as part of the roadmap
• Engage closely with the technology teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule for various projects that are part of the roadmap
• Liaise with other business lines (Trading, Connectivity etc.) to incorporate the dependencies and align deliverables as part of the roadmap
• Manage customer expectations with regards to product features and timeline throughout the life cycle of product development and management
• Act as a bridge between business and technology and be able to translate the impact of technical changes to customers’ business needs and vice versa
• Provided leadership to team member in support of mentoring and knowledge sharing
Knowledge and Experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience - delivering technology products in a dynamic environment where priorities shift fast
• Capital Markets and/or Market Data experience required
• Product management experience with focus on software products and technologies
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate to non-technical audience
• Customer focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experience
• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
