A day in your life as a Mortgage Servicing Assistant:
Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for providing customer assistance, researching and resolving inquiries as well as processing of customer requests. Assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.
We’ll give you these important responsibilities…
• Provides customer assistance to research and resolve inquiries to attain established service level goals and remain in compliance with Federal, State, Investor, and internal bank guidelines.
• Processes customer requests for loan documents, amortization schedules, duplicate monthly statements, payment histories, 1098 statement, address changes, return mail, name changes, Tax Payer Identification Number (TIN) certification and deceased notifications.
• Completes various reports, review reports to verify integrity of information provided on reports. Uses system edit reports to review errors and rejects while ensuring timely correction and completion of various reports.
• Reviews, researches and responds to standard and non-standard requests for loan ratings, consumer disputes, disputes on credit derogs, standard banking, audit and payment confirmation and secondary financing notifications.
• Cross trains on Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARMs), modification, consents and other areas within the section/department.
• Retrieves, sorts, processes and distributes mail, reports, payment forms, general ledger tickets, documents, and copy request forms.
• Organizes, prepares and remits documentation for imaging. Inputs, accesses and retrieves information from a personal computer.
Qualifications

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
• Demonstrated Customer Service experience & mortgage experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar software.
• Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems.
Other Job Qualifications:
• Possesses effective oral and written communications skill.
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
• Able to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings as needed or assigned.
• Must be able to lift loan files weighing up to 25 lbs.
