Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The role of the position is to work with team members of INREIT and the Company to provide operational oversight of the Fund. The Fund is a perpetual-life, publicly-listed, non-traded real estate investment trust focused on the acquisition and ownership of income-producing commercial real estate in the U.S. The Fund will invest approximately 20% of its assets in real estate securities. The Fund will state monthly NAV and monthly performance.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Work with the Portfolio Manager to optimize time-weighted performance (calculated monthly)
• Project and analyze the amounts and timing of all capital flows
• Help to manage cash positions, including review and approval of Fund expenses
• Maintain open dialogue with securities team to ensure appropriate balance of portfolio
• Help to establish and maintain credit facilities and lender relationships
• Work with Accounting to monitor REIT compliance and ensure ongoing certification is accurate
• Work with Performance, Accounting, Fund Administrator and others to ensure consistent methodology is applied to the monthly performance calculation
• Work with Valuations and various third parties on quarterly property appraisals
• Assist in all aspects of investor relations, presentations and performance updates
• Assist in the preparation of all public filings (MD&A, 10-K, 8-K, 10-Q, etc.)
• Assist Product Management with investor due diligence and RFPs
• Establish and maintain consistent processes, workflows and products (i.e. fund models, dashboards, external reports, etc.) reports
• Work with Compliance to ensure adherence to Company policies
• Liaise with various internal and external parties on Fund and investor matters, including investment-level structuring, legal, compliance and tax issues, third-party arrangements, and fee and promote projections
• Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives across the Company
• Utilize and direct the Hyderabad team where appropriate
Qualifications
Work Experience / Knowledge:
• At least 7 years in real estate investment
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
• Solid practical understanding of real estate investment concepts
• Working knowledge of accounting concepts
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
• Sense of urgency, strong curiosity and attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to travel
Formal Education:(minimum requirement to perform job duties)
• Undergraduate degree
• MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred but not required
