Reporting to the Head of Private Banking and UBIS Investment Sales, the Licensed Banker Program Manager is responsible for aiding in design, implementation and execution of sales management of the UnionBanc Investment Services, LLC (UBIS) Licensed Banker Program for Retail Banking. Direct supervision and management of the Licensed Banker Sales Managers which includes interviewing, hiring, and conducting counseling/performance reviews. The position will deliver significant financial results through the leadership, management, and coaching of Licensed Banker Sales Managers. They will collaborate with business partners to ensure the Licensed Bankers are profiling, understanding needs, and discussing our full capabilities while providing financial solutions. They are responsible for training, skill building, motivating, and on-going coaching and support of the licensed Bankers. They must also ensure operational integrity and prudent risk management.

Major Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic vision for Licensed Banker Program while ensuring that the strategies align with overall bank and UBIS strategies.
• Approval and admittance of qualified candidates into the Program, including review and approve CRD, background check and FINRA registration.
• Manage investment-related activities of all Licensed Banker personnel involved in the Program.
• Responsible for growing sales revenue and referrals for the licensed banker sales team.
• Develop and distribute monthly activity reports for management, and identify successful sales activities, sales trends, top producers, referral reporting and special account information or issues to identify ongoing sales opportunities.
• In collaboration with business partners, analyze Licensed Banker production and develop action plans addressing areas of opportunity.
• Develop and implement strategic and tactical sales initiatives to increase investment referrals and revenue from licensed bankers.
• Develop campaigns that support driving referrals and revenue for the Licensed Banker Program; gather and analyze results to optimize programs and financial contribution.
• Assist in recognition events planning and execution.
• Provide guidance to define, lead and implement strategies to improve and re-engineer processes to increase cost efficiencies and improve the experience for Licensed Banker training, licensing and onboarding process.
• Collaborate with various business partners and outside vendors to define, design, implement, and sustain an ongoing training strategy as well as ongoing skill building for Licensed Banker Program.
• Ensure that licensing vendors and training vendors are properly vetted and approved.
• Work closely with UBIS to ensure all investment-related activities act in accordance with UBIS policies and are compliant with rules and regulations set by the SEC and FINRA.
• Compliance oversight of all participants and their UBIS referral activities along with email review.
• Collaborate with external vendor to design Mystery Shops that are aligned with current sales strategies as well as compliance policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal or external program audits while ensuring the Licensed Banker Program is compliant to all bank policies and regulations.
• Plan agenda and coordinate guest speakers for monthly Licensed Banker Program conference calls.
Ensure that all Licensed Banker Program Participants complete continuing education and Firm Element to maintain securities and insurance licenses.
• Act as liaison between UBIS, Licensed Bankers and Retail Banking Management.
• Position will require periodic travel throughout your assigned territory
Qualifications
• 5+ years of management level investment experience preferred, along with direct experience in developing, driving and coaching a consultative selling approach.
• Requires excellent presentation and training skills with highly developed verbal and written communications skills.
• Must have an extensive understanding of the investment brokerage business as well as appropriate investment licenses including California Life/Health insurance, Series 24, 7, and 66.
• 4-year college degree preferred.
